Some reasons: Water runes are utilized for blitz/barrage which is quite well known in p2p. Not many people craft them, plus they are not a frequent drop from monsters. A whole lot of RuneScape gold monsters drop fire runes in large quantities. Mind runes are relatively useless. Also keep in mind that air runes are the runes that pop up from standard-spellbook spells the most frequently. Body runes are so cheap because they are near useless, except for inexpensive levelling. Earth runes are used at the Vengeance spell 10 at a time, and this charm is all over p2p pking.

I haven't played in like a year, however, from memory, the fastest way to bring in money from battle in f2p is by simply collecting huge bones, which gives you perhaps 30k an hour? There are not really any high-level NPCs to kill which give drops that are rewarding. Lesser demons would give maybe 10-15k an hour. So the F2P participant would spend approximately 3 hours earning 100k from combat drops.

The P2P player has a much larger array of alternatives. They can collect dragon bones from plants and make maybe 100k an hour. Or they could join teams and hunt the KQ, KBD, GWD bosses etc and hope to get lucky with a fall worth 1m+. I'm sure there are thousands of new ways to earn money as well with combat in p2p. In the time it took the f2p participant to make 100k, the p2p player could likely make 300k.

Woodcutting is quite similar in both p2p and f2p. I think magical trees need 75 wc to chop, so a p2p participant with 70 wc would not have the ability to Buy RS gold utilise them. The p2p player could use a dragon axe, however this gives only a small increase in chopping rates in contrast to a rune axe. So, cutting yews, the rates for p2p and f2p are extremely similar (The only real benefit of p2p would be less people at every yew-cutting place ).
